FOC Teleclinic connects volunteer doctors with vulnerable communities across Myanmar — providing free teleconsultations, mental health support, and public health education during crises.
FOC Teleclinic was established in June 2021 in response to the third wave of COVID-19 in Myanmar, during a period marked by a severe disruption of the national healthcare system following the military coup. The initiative began with 78 volunteer doctors and provided teleconsultation services to more than 5,000 patients.
All teleconsultation services were delivered free of charge. In addition to clinical services, the team developed and disseminated up-to-date COVID-19 health education through the Facebook platform. These public health messages reached millions of people across Myanmar who were affected by the pandemic.
During the earthquake in March 2025, FOC Teleclinic re-mobilised its response by coordinating 110 volunteer medical officers to provide primary care and mental health support services. This was done to help fill service gaps created by health facility closures following the earthquake.
